This year, students of the Don State Technical University chose the ENSET company in Rostov-on-Don for practical training to learn how modern high-precision balancing equipment is developed and manufactured. Among the trainees were 2nd and 3rd year students of T-University DSTU, Department of Robotics and Mechatronics. T-University prepares students not for a specific workplace, but for activities in different conditions and areas, develops the ability to make decisions and act productively in any situation. That is why future specialists went to the ENSET production facility, where they received a unique opportunity to expand their understanding of the machine tool industry, get acquainted with the activities of the plant, gain specialized knowledge and skills in terms of production processes, and learn to work productively.
Mikhail Ivanov, 3rd year student: “I am sure that thanks to this practice we learn to correctly apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in real production, we get our first experience of working at an enterprise, we learn more about how complex high-tech equipment is created. It is very interesting! I liked the friendly staff of the company. There is a mentoring institute here; new employees are not only brought up to speed, but also helped at the internship stage and in the first months of work. Perhaps I will return to ENSET production in the future as a young specialist.”
Vasily Myachin, executive director of ENSET: “Organizing and conducting internships at our enterprise is part of the career guidance work jointly with the Don State Technical University, which we carry out on a regular basis. Thanks to this practice, students can better understand how the machine tool building process works, what specialties are in demand in production, communicate with workers and learn more about the profession, as well as ask all their questions about working conditions and motivation.
For the company, such cooperation with educational institutions in the region in training specialists helps to develop and strengthen the workforce, attract active and successful students to work at ENSET, and increase interest among young people in technical professions.”
